National Geographic photo

This is a freshwater Dolphin, that looks as if it is in some kind of beautiful, peaceful world. An enchanted place, that is enveloped in a hew of gold, and auburn. I like this photo because it makes you feel, almost warm inside, but at the same time very refreshed and peaceful. It also helps that it matches the colors of my blog... It also reminds me of warm tropical places, basking in the sun and then jumping into the ocean. This photo just makes you just want to jump into the water and swim with that dolphin. Well, at least it does for me...

  1. Good picture. It is relaxing in a strange way. I wonder if the red is from the sun.

  2. This freshwater dolphin is probably hunting or showing off for the photographer. The reddish water is nice, because it really lights up the dolphin in contrast to the black water beneath it. The reason the water is red isn't because of the sun, Emilio, it is because of the sediment in the water, and usually the body of water has to be flowing at a decent rate to keep the sediment swirling around the river. We can suppose this is at springtime, at the maximum flow, and it is also breeding season for these dolphins, and they are hunting.
